More: Seeking Jesus
We can diligently seek Jesus through the Word.
We can diligently seek Jesus through prayer and fasting.
We can diligently seek Jesus through serving like him.
We can diligently seek Jesus through giving like him.
James 1:17
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
Matthew 6:21
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
If we treasure the things of heaven, then our hearts will be focused on him and will be at home with him
Seeking Him Through Thanksgiving and Gratitude
Why seek him through thanksgiving and gratitude?
How to seek him through thanksgiving and gratitude?
What now?
Why seek Him through thanksgiving and gratitude?
Romans 12:2
Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.
It is not happy people who are thankful,
it is thankful people who are happy.
Ephesians 1:18-19
I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened so that you may know what is the hope of his calling, what is the wealth of his glorious inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the mighty working of his strength.
Luke 17:11-18
While traveling to Jerusalem, he passed between Samaria and Galilee. 12 As he entered a village, ten men with leprosy met him. They stood at a distance 13 and raised their voices, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”
14 When he saw them, he told them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” And while they were going, they were cleansed.
15 But one of them, seeing that he was healed, returned and, with a loud voice, gave glory to God. 16 He fell facedown at his feet, thanking him. And he was a Samaritan.
17 Then Jesus said, “Were not ten cleansed? Where are the nine? 18 Didn’t any return to give glory to God except this foreigner?” 19 And he told him, “Get up and go on your way. Your faith has saved you.”
Luke 17:15-16
But one of them, seeing that he was healed, returned and, with a loud voice, gave glory to God. 16 He fell facedown at his feet, thanking him. And he was a Samaritan.
How often do we forget to give thanks to the Lord?
How to seek Him through thanksgiving and gratitude?
We’re not just thankful, but we’re thankful to him.
We have to choose to remember all of the blessings of God.
